Ten years ago, I was coaching young athletes and saw the same thing again and again —

shorts that didn’t fit, fabrics that didn’t move, and “girls’” options that were just pink versions of boys’ styles.

This year, coaching my own kids, I realized nothing had changed.

What began as a simple fix has turned into an obsession —
